Home Organizers Awarded Best Small Space at 2024 Calgary Home + Garden Show

This weekend, Organization Magic received the top honour for making the most of a small space!

We’re over the moon to share that Organization Magic (OM) has been honored with the 2024 Best Small Space Award at this year’s Calgary Home + Garden Show! 🎉

Held at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park from February 22-25, the show was a whirlwind of creativity and inspiration. On Sunday afternoon, our excitement hit new heights when the announcement came over the intercom.

The judges had spoken, and OM was the proud recipient of this prestigious award. What followed was a joyous celebration filled with hugs, handshakes, and a few happy tears. The crowd’s enthusiasm was a testament to our hard work and passion!

Months of meticulous preparation culminated in a stunning 10’ x 10’ booth that truly showcased our expertise in home organization and interior decorating. We transformed the compact space into a vibrant, serene haven, demonstrating innovative storage solutions and artistic design. It was heartwarming to see so many visitors drawn to our booth, captivated by our colorful and calming display.

Our COO, Vanessa Kennedy, couldn’t have expressed our joy better: “I was fired from my first babysitting job at 11 for rearranging their pantry without asking. To have this award recognize my passion 20 years later is incredible! We are so grateful for this recognition and the support from Calgary. We can’t wait to help you transform your space—just let us know!”

The warm feedback continues to roll in, including a recent Google Review praising our booth’s inviting atmosphere and our commitment to creating peaceful, productive spaces. We were thrilled to hear such positive responses from those who visited us at the show.

A huge shoutout to our generous sponsors—Sofa Land, Pottery Barn, All Floors Design Centre, and Wild Orchid florist—for their invaluable support. We also want to acknowledge the incredible work of our community partners, including Making Changes, Women In Need Society (WINS), and the Calgary Drop-In Centre, who help ensure that items from our decluttering projects find new homes.

We also held a One Day Declutter Giveaway, offering a lucky winner a full day with our expert team to transform their space. The response was overwhelming—over 1,300 business cards were distributed, and we’re excited to dive into the 300+ emails we’ve received, mostly from giveaway entries.

The 2024 Calgary Home + Garden Show was a record-breaker with over 350 exhibitors and an incredible turnout. Our trusty company vehicle, affectionately named “The Magic Mobile,” even sported a vanity plate reading “TIDY UP”—a perfect nod to our mission!
